The Circle / Membership
Membership
One does not apply to the Circle. One is asked.
The Circle is capped by design. A table that grows without limit stops being a table and becomes a room. We keep it small enough that every person in it can be known by every other, and we would rather leave a chair empty than fill it carelessly.

How One Arrives
There is no form for this.
Every member of the Circle was first a member of the July Society, and was seen there over time: at Dinners, at Salons, in the way they kept the company they kept. When the Society believes someone belongs at the inner table, they are asked. There is no form for this, no waiting list, no fee that moves it faster.
If you are not yet a member of the Society, that is the door that opens first.
What It Confers
A standing, held quietly.
Standing within the Circle carries privileges the wider Society does not extend: the Society's private, closed-door Salons; the principal's table at every Gala; hosting privileges across the whole JULY world; and introductions made only within the Circle itself. It is a standing, not a purchase, and it is held quietly.
